Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is produced by selecting highly pure cotton fiber as raw material and specially etherifying it under alkaline conditions. It has the characteristics of thickening ability, salt resistance, low ash content, PH stability, water retention, excellent film-forming properties, and extensive mildew resistance, dispersion and adhesion.

Main function
Water retention – Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose has strong water retention properties and can effectively absorb and retain moisture, thus improving the stability and performance of the material.

Water solubility and thickening ability – The cold water instant type of this product can be dissolved in cold water. After about 10 minutes, the viscosity will be completely increased, forming a transparent viscous liquid. Its thickening ability depends on its viscosity, which can be produced from 400 mpa.s to 200,000 mpa.

Tile adhesive

Putty

Gypsum plaster
In gypsum series products, cellulose ether mainly plays the role of water retention, thickening, lubrication, etc., and also has a certain retarding effect, which solves the problems of drum cracking and initial strength not enough during construction, and can extend the working time.

Emulsion paint coating
In the coating industry, cellulose ethers can be used as film-forming agents, thickeners, emulsifiers and stabilizers to make the film have better wear resistance, leveling properties, adhesion, and PH stability that improves surface tension. , the miscibility with organic solvents is also good, and the high water retention performance makes it have good brushing and leveling properties.
